CERCIOEIRAS

CERCIOEIRAS is a Portuguese social solidarity cooperative dedicated to supporting people with disabilities, promoting autonomy, equal opportunities, and social inclusion.

The project focused on developing a cohesive visual identity around the organisation's existing logo, extending its visual language across different communication materials and applications.

Building on the existing visual identity, participants at CERCIOEIRAS were invited to draw predefined and freeform shapes. Their drawings were then digitised and transformed into graphic elements used throughout the visual system. The original blue and orange were retained, with overlapping shapes introducing pink, a new colour representing empathy, care and sensitivity.

The visual system was designed to adapt across physical and digital applications while remaining consistent. At its core, the project places CERCIOEIRAS’ participants at the centre of its identity. Their hand-drawn shapes, with all their natural imperfections, became a defining feature of a visual language created not just for them, but with them.
